Hi,
that's not all that easy to answer here in one post. One would have to consider lots of things such as marks, style, wear, stones' cuts, materials and techniques used etc etc. If there was an easy and short answer to your question then appraisers and gemologists would be out of a job.
If you want to buy something and make sure you are getting your money's worth you should buy from people that know what they are selling and are willing to vouch for it in the form of an official appraisal. Or get one yourself. Expertise isn't free of charge but it saves you from making costly mistakes.
